Terry and Gerry...Do you mind if we sit down for this one?

8pm (Doors 7.30pm)

A special evening of Songs, Films and Chat with Birmingham based cult skiffle cow-punk band Terry and Gerry.

John Peel promoted them when he picked out their demo tape because his wife's best friends were also known as Terry and Gerry. They recorded four sessions for Peelie and got a fond mention in his autobiography.

The mid-80s 4 piece released 6 singles and an LP From Lubbock to Clintwood East: Each went to Number One in the indie charts. The band toured extensively, gathering fans from Joe Strummer to Shane MacGowan. They appeared on radio and TV, including sessions for The Old Grey Whistle Test and The Tube. They wrote theme tunes for Central TV and were the subject of a documentary by film maker Norman Hull.

With special guest Dave Travis, and a screening of 1980's Documentary From Lubbock to Clintwood East and vintage Terry and Gerry film footage.

Tickets: £12
