UK singer-songwriter, organic instrumentation with a folk-rock influence

George has built a steady following throughout the UK and beyond with his delicate but dynamic solo acoustic performances and has recently been making waves on the festival circuit, showcasing his full band. He has previously been championed by the likes of Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio 2 and Cerys Matthews on BBC Radio 6. George’s 2026 festival appearances include Beardy Folk Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Cottingham Folk Festival and Deep Dale Folk Festival.

While George’s music may be subconsciously informed by the ridings of Yorkshire and the folk tradition so prevalent in the area, his songwriting comes from a deeply personal place. His rich vocals and confident lyrical style are reflected in his storytelling, while his guitar work often echoes Nick Drake in approach. Organic instrumentation with a folk-rock influence reminiscent of classic Crosby, Stills & Nash and Jeff Buckley is evident. Traditional folk signatures and themes run throughout, blending country motifs and klezmer modes, with the bed-rock pocket of rhythm and blues.
George has currently released five studio albums, two live albums and a compilation album of older material, all available on his Bandcamp page.
